Day 2
KATHMANDU - NAGARKOT
After breakfast, visit Swayambhunath Stupa on a hillock which offers breath-taking view of Kathmandu City. Proceed to visit great Hindu temple Pasupatinath and Bouddhanath Stupa. After lunch proceed to Nagarkot (altitude 2298m). This place gives an excellent view of the sunset and Mt. Everest can be seen on a clear day. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3
NAGARKOT - KATHMANDU
After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and visit Patan Durbar Square, Patan (Lalitpur) - which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley - famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, and you can see the traditional artisans working with wood, stones and metals. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 4
KATHMANDU - RAFTING - ROYAL CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast drive to rafting site (Trisuli River for White water Rafting)2 hrs drive from Kathmandu. Lunch we'll be served after 3/4 hrs rafting in the riverbank. After lunch, drive to Chitwan National Park PM: Elephant- safari: This exciting ride lasts for 2-3 hours. Overnight in Lodge or Tent.
Day 5
Royal Chitwan National Park - Halt
Full day Jungle activities. Overnight in lodge.
Day 6
After breakfast departure to Lumbini. On arrival in Lumbini ( check in hotel & refreshment). Sightseeing in the birth place of Lord Buddha & more. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7
LUMBINI – POKHARA
After breakfast we drive our journey to Pokhara (Beautiful & Magic Land of Nepal). Free in the evening to explore the town. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 8
POKHARA CITY TOUR
After breakfast -sightseeing around Pokhara valley. Visit the various interesting place like boating in Fewa Lake over looking the region of Annapurna Areas, David Falls, Mahendra Cave and some Temples. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 9
After breakfast , return to Kathmandu by road or flight. After arrive in Kathmandu you're free for shopping and buy souvenirs for your near and dear ones. Overnight in hotel.

After lunch proceed towards, Sightseeing tour of PATAN- old capital of the independent kingdom is 5 km far from Kathmandu. Patan - the ''city of arts'' has many temples and wonders of Nepali art to admire in its Durbar Square and surroundings. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3
After breakfast sightseeing tour of BHAKTAPUR-
It is 12 km far from Kathmandu and it was the third capital of the valley , also known as ''city of devotes'. Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon is the best example of living museum of the whole valley because of the number of artistic spots and magnificent temples. On the way back Kathmandu we visit CHANGU NARAYAN - the oldest shrine in the whole region and maybe in the whole country. In the evening Sightseeing tour of KIRTIPUR - a small village on the top of a hill some 5-km far from Kathmandu and has historical importance. After Kirtipur, transfer to HATTIBAN - a beautiful hillock overlooking the entire Kathmandu valley. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast Sightseeing tour of DAKSHINKALI - temple and the shrine dedicated to the Goddess Kali 22 kms. south from Kathmandu should be visited on Tuesday or Saturday to be more interesting as on those two days the main ceremonies of sacrifice as an offering to Kali are being held. In the evening sightseeing at BUNGAMATI & KHOKANA - a classic 16th Century Newari Village 12 kms. from Kathmandu is perched on a spur of land overlooking the Bagmati River. The specific feature of this site is the Shikhara-style temple of Red Machhendranath- regarded as the patron of the valley. Drive to Kathmandu and overnight in hotel

Kathmandu Valley
It is situated at the altitude of 1336 m above sea level and covers an area of 218 sq . Miles. Kathmandu is one of the richest cultural heritage sites, the home of the ancient and sophisticated. Kathmandu Durbar Square
The historic seat of royal family. The square with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religions and cultured life of the people, it is here that kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. You can observe Taleju Temple built by king Mahendra Malla in 1549 ad, the temple of Kal Bhairav , the god of destruction, Natural Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk , the Gaddi Baithak, the statue of king Pratap Malla the big drum and the Jagannath Temple.It
 
was endorse in the UNESCO world heritage site in 1979. On the right hand corner, a large wooden lattice screen hides an enormous gilded face of Sweta Bhairav . The screen is removed only the Indra Jatra festival.You can observe numismatic museum and Tribhuvan museum inside hanuman Dhoka palace.
Swoyambhu Nath Stupa
It is said to be 2000 years old Chaityas with glorious standing. Four sides of the spire's base are all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. ( 3 km west of Ktm ) . Situated 77m above Ktm valley . It is also listed in world heritage site in 1979.
Pashupati Nath Temple
Situated 5km east from Ktm. This is the temple of Lord Shiva. The temple consists with the tiered golden roof and silver door is considered one of the holiest shrines for Hindus. Although only Hindu are allowed inside the temple.In eastern edge of Pasupati is holy bagmati river. It is also in world heritage site.
 
Boudhanath Stupa
It lies 8km east of Kathmandu. This ancient colossal Stupa is one of the biggest in the world, and the center Tibetan Buddhism in the world. It listed in the world heritage site. Budhanilkatha 8 km north of Kathmandu. Remarkable colossal statue of Lord Vishnu, at the base of Shivapuri hill, reclining on a bed of shakes. This is a remarkable masterpiece of stone sculptures of the Lichchhavi period. This fifth century statue is in the middle of a small pond and seems to float in water.
Patan City
Lying 5km southeast of Kathmandu is also known as the city of fine arts. The diversity of the medieval culture . Impressive Hindu temple and Buddhist monastery.
Patan Durbar Square:
Situated in the heart of the city. The square is full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings the durbar consists of three main court yards, the central Mulchowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshar Narayan Chowk . The Sundari Chowk holds in its center a masterpiece of stone architecture, the royal bath called Tushahity. It is also listed in UNESCOs heritage site 1879.
 
Krishna Mandir
The temple of Lord krishna was built in 1637 ad. It is supposed to be the first specimen of Shikhara style architecture in Nepal. The temple having 21 spires and made of stone .
Mahaboudha
The terra cotta design is one the fourteenth century Nepalese masterpieces. It is located little further east of Patan made of clay bricks with thousands of images of Lord Buddha are engraved.
Hiranya Barna Maha Vihar
Three storey golden pagoda of Lokeshor (Lord Buddha) was built in 12th century by kng vaskar verma. You can observe upper storeys of the pagoda placed on pedestal are golden image of Lord buddha and large prayer wheel.
Temple of Machchendranath and Minnath
The pagoda of red Machindra Nath built in 1408 AD is situated in Tabahal . For six month, the deity is taken to its other shrine in Bungmati. The temple of Minath is situated in Tangal on the way to Tabahal .
The Zoo
Situated at Jawalakhal the zoo has many animals, birds and Reptiles in its collection represting mostly the Himalayan fauna. There is a beautiful pond built in the 17th century.
Patan Museum
It is inside the durbar square specializes in bronze statues and religions objects. It is considered one of the best museums in Asia.
Bhaktapur City (Bhadgaun)
Situated at an altitude of 1401 m. It covers an area of four square miles. The city of devotees still retains a medieval charm and visitors to this ancient town are treated to myriad. Wonders of cultural and artistic achievement. You
 
can observe easily the past glory of Malla ruler Pottery and weaving are its traditional industries. It is also famous for woodcarving and for Bhadgoun cap. It lies 14 km east of Ktm.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square
The main courtyard of the place of 55 windows will  reach after
crossing the golden gate .   It   is  very  famous  for   richly  carved specimens of its kind in the entire world built in 1700AD. The gate is embellished with deities and monsters with marvelous intricacy. Among the brick walls in their gracious setting and sculptural design, is a balcony of 55 windows. This balcony is a masterpiece of woodcarving. Batsala Devi: temple is also located in d.sq. is full of intricate carvings. Same like shikhara style architecture in Nepal. You can look bronze bell on the terrace of the temple. Which is called "bell of barking dogs" placed in 1737 AD. The use of this bell was for signal curfew at that time.The main square of the temple consist of innumerable temples and other architectural cultural show piece, like lion gate, the statue of Bhuptindara Malla acting worship, the picture gallery. The square was listed in world heritage monument list in 1979.
Nyatapola temple
The five storey pagoda was built in 1702 AD by king Bhupatindra Malla, standing on a five-terraced platform and one of the tallest pagoda is famous for its massive structure and subtle workmanship.
Bhairavnath temple
This was one story later changed into three storey in 1718 by king Bhupatindra is noted for its artistic grander and it is dedicated to Lord Bhairav the god of terror.
Dattatraa temple
Build in 1427 ad, this temple is said to have been built from the truck of a single trice near this temple is a monastery with exquisitely carved peacock windows.
Changunarayan
Situated at the end of a long ridge, which runs well into the valley, it is said to have been built by king Hari Dutta in 323 ad and said to be the oldest temple in the valley. It was listed in the UNESCO. World heritage list in 1979.
Surya Vinyak
Situated in a beautiful surrounding of a Bhad Gaon the temple of Ganesh (god of luck) is placed in a sylvan. Setting to catch the first rays of rising sun.


Namo Buddha
Situated on a hill above Panauti. There is an amazing legend related to the Buddha, which is commemorated, by an ancient stone slab and a sputa with the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.
 
Nagarkot (3400M)
It lies in an altitude of 3400 m above sea level. It is 10 Kms away from Bhakatapur. The over whelming panorama of the major Himalayas Mt. Everest, Manaslu, Ganesh HImal, Langtang, Choba Bhamre, Gauri Shankar and Numbur can be clearly seen from Nagarkot.
Kakani (1982 M)
It lies 27 Kms away from Kathmandu. This town is very famous for beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley and Magnificent view of northeastern Himalayas. It has beautiful Alpine Scenery and watch out for Gauri Shanker, Choba Bhamre Manaslu, HImchuli, Annapurna and several peaks. It is very famous for sunset views.
 
Dhulikel
You can be there driving 30 Kms from Kathmandu on the way to Kodari highway. It is one of the ancient town famous for scenic beauty and traditional life style. You can observe here complete panoramic view of the snowy ranges from Karyolung in the east to the himalchuli to the west.
Daman (2400 M)
It is 80 Kms away from Kathmandu on the Tribhuwan highway. It offers the view of the breathtaking grandeur of the world's highest peak from far west of Dhaulagari to the east of Mr. Everest.

Nepal Adventure
White water rafting White water rafting means cruising down a rushing river in an inflatable rubber raft or white water kayak over crashing waves and swirling rapids for the excitement of a lifetime. Because of Nepal’s steep terrain, the rivers here churn with extra ferocity as they charge down mountain gorges to offer some of the best white waters in the world. The rapids are graded on a scale of one to six depending on how wild they are. The Trisuli River (grade 3+) is one of the most popular, if not the favorite, of Nepal’s raftable rivers many choose to incorporate a ride down the Trisuli with either a trip to Pokhra or to Royal Chitwan National Park.
The Kali Gandaki (4 – 4 +) winds through remote canyons and deep gorges for five days of intense rapids among gorgeous wilderness and mountain views.
The Bhoti Koshi (4 – 5). Twenty-six km. of white water batters rafters as they shoot through a variable maze of canyons and boulders. The Raging Marshyangdi (4 – 5) run is four days of uninterrupted white water. The Karnali River (4 – 5) rafters fly through spectacular landscapes and narrow gorges and down some of the most challenging rapids in the world. The Sun Koshi (4 – 5) run is 270 km. and requires 8 – 10 days to complete with road access only at the beginning and end.
 
Jungle Safari
While the high Himalaya make up Nepal’s northern region, the southern lowland known as the Terai is covered with dense tropical jungles teeming with diverse wildlife and exotic birds. Here you will find some of the most exotic safari destinations in the world. You will be deep going into deep jungle on elephant back or four-wheel drive vehicle to view wild animals in their natural habitat. Other thrills are canoe rides on the Jungle Rivers, nature walks, bird watching excursions and village tours.
There are 16 national parks and wildlife reserves in the kingdom. They provide one of the worlds largest habitats for the endangered species like one of the horned rhino, Royal Bengal tiger, snow leopard, blue-clouded leopard, red panda, blue bull, blue sheep, and long snouted fish eating gharial crocodile.
The country boasts almost 10% of the world bird species with over 800 varieties of wet land, migratory and resident birds. They include kolkas, giant hornbills, red-headed trogons, paradise flycatchers, herons, egets, warblers and bablers.
The Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park and Royal Chitwan National Parks are listed as World Heritage Sites.
Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park (1,148 sq km), which includes the tallest mountain in the world, is listed as a World Heritage Site. Geologically young and broken into deep gorges and glacier valleys, the park has vegetations graduating from pine, hemlock, fir, juniper, birch, rhododendrons, scrubs, alpine plants and then to bare rock nad snow. This is home to the Himalayan tahr, ghoral, serow and musk deer. The Himalayan black beer and snow leopard are now rarely sighted.
 
Royal Chiwan National Park (932 sq km) is listed as a World Heritage site and most popular safari destination in Nepal. It covers a unique ecosystem, containing hills, ox-bow lakes and flood plains. Dominated by sal forests, the park has 50 species of grasses. The 43 species of animals include the endangered one-horned rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, gharial crocodile, gaur, wild elephant, four-horned antelope, striped hyena, pangolin, Gangetic dolphin, monitor lizard and pythons.

Nepal Trekking
Trekking in the Himalaya
The best way to experience Nepal’s unbeatable combination of natural beauty and cultural riches is to walk through them. The immense contrasts in altitudes and climates found here support an equally spectacular mix of lifestyle, vegetation types and wildlife.
SEASONS: Trekking is possible at any time of the year depending on where you are going. The most popular season are spring (February-May) and autumn (September-November). Winter is very cold above 4,000m and high mountain passes may be snowbound, but it is good for trekking at lower altitudes. During the monsoon season (June-August), you can trek in the rain-shadow area north of the Himalaya like Mustang, Upper Manang and Dolpo. These place are out of reach of the rain could because of the high mountains and are unaffected by the monsoon.
 
PRECAUTIONS:
You trek to enjoy the scenery on the trail, to get to any place in a hurry. The main precaution to be taken while trekking is not to go up too high too fast. The body should be given plenty of time to acclimatize. Acute Mountain sickness (AMS) refers to the effects of the thin air at high altitudes, which can be very dangerous and may even result in death. If you get initial symptoms like nausea, dizziness, swelling in the face and and breathlessness, descend to a lower elevation immediately and seek medical help. Comprehensive travel insurance is advised to cover emergencies like helicopter rescue and medical treatment in case of accidents on the trail.
WHERE TO TREK: The entire length and breadth of the Kingdom is a paradise for trekkers. There are easy walk lasting a few days and there are strenuous expeditions that take several weeks. All of them have great scenery. Here are a few:
Annapurna. The most popular trekking route in Nepal, you will be walking through rhododendron forests over the foothills of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest in the world, and Lake Tilicho (4,919 m) the highest lakeside resort town of Pokhara. (Maximum elevation covered on the trek is 5,416 m.)
Everest. The highest mountain in the world continues to lure adventurers as ever. A hair- raising flight lands you at the airstrip of lukla (2,850 m) from where where you begin walking to the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar and on to Tengboche monastery with the mesmerizing peak of Ama Dablam hovering in the sky. Then it’s over the glaciers to the foot of Everest for the view of a lifetime (maximum elevation 5,546 m).
Langtang. The third most popular trekking region in the Kingdom lies directly to the north of Kathmandu. The Gosaikund lakes situated here are a much-revered Hindu pilgrimage site.Langtang offers baffling extremes in topography and climate conditions. In just one day you can traverse five different vegetation zones trekking from the subtropics to timberline (maximum elevation 4,480 m).
Remote ares. For those who want to get off the beaten track, there is the to Mustang (maximum elevation 5,400 m) north
 
of the Annapurna range which offers mind-boggling landscapes and mystical cultures. Manaslu in west-central Nepal (maximum elevation 5,350 m) takes you through isolated valley and High Mountain passes to the base of the fifth highest peak on earth. Dolpo in northwest Nepal (maximum elevation 4,500 m) captivates visitor with its Phoksundo Lake and unparalleled scenery.
TREKKING PERMITS: All visitors require a trekking permit to visit Nepal’s interior regions not connected by major roads except the Annapurna, Everest and Langtang region. Two photographs are required with the application. If you are trekking in more then one region, separate trekking permits are necessary for each region.
Trekking Permit Fees. The fee for a trekking permit is as follows:
Kanchanjunga and lower Dolpo – US$ 10 per week for the first four weeks and US$ 20per week thereafter; Upper Mustang and Upper Dolpo – US$ 700 for the first 10 days and US$ 70 per day thereafter; Manaslu – US$ 90 per week for trekking during September-November and US$75 per week during December-August; Humla (Simikot-Yari) – US$ 90 for the first seven days and US$ 15 per day thereafter.
 
National Park Fees. You need to pay a park fee of Rs.650 to enter a national park or Wildlife Reserve. The fee is payable at the park entrance. Trekkers going to the Annapurna Region have to pay a fee of Rs.1, 000 (100 for SAARC nationals). For more information, contact Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), Tel: 526571,526573. Nepal Vesitor Guide
It is possible to visit most temples, stupas and shrines except the inner sanctum. There are signboards if entry is restricted.
Remove your shoes before entering temples and monasteries.

Shoes, handbags, belts, belts and other accessories made of leather are prohibited in most religious places.

When entering a temple courtyard, go around in clockwise direction.

There is a small stone or metal mandala (circular diagram) on the ground in front of the most shrines. Please do not step on it.

Photography is generally allowed. Using flash bulbs when people are worshiping may be inconsiderate.

It is polite to ask permission before taking photographs of people performing sacred rites.

Please do not touch the offerings or persons when they are on their way to the temple or are performing rituals.
Eating is not done inside the shrine precincts.

Please do not sit or climb on top of the statues.

Please remember that temples are active places of worship and not archeological specimens.
